At Living at Full Throttle, we are going to change it up this year and give Halloween more than just one night of costumes and candy. Halloween is a whole vibe â cozy nights, silly fun, spooky surprises, and memory-making moments. In a world that bombards us with noise and distractions every minute of the day, I wanted to make an effort to bring the focus back to family. Itâs about dimming the chaos, leaning into the spirit of the season, and creating memories that last long after the pumpkins fade. Yes, my young adult sons are even excited, translation they responded âYeah, Iâll do itâ when asked to participate. I created our 31 Days of Halloween list: one small activity each day to celebrate without making it complicated.
This isnât about planning big events or stressing over details. Itâs about laughter, tradition, and enjoying the spooky season together.

Most activities are quick, doable, and adaptable. Some days are super simple (like emoji stories or trivia). Others let you go big if youâre in the mood (like charcuterie boards or movie marathons). And because itâs spread across the whole month, you get to enjoy the anticipation instead of cramming everything into one night.
Whether your family loves cozy nights in, silly challenges, or festive snacks, thereâs something here for everyone.
Halloween doesnât have to be stressful or over planned â it just needs to be fun. Print the list, pin it to the fridge, and check off each activity as you go. By the time October 31 rolls around, youâll have 31 memories that feel just as good as candy.
So grab your cocoa, curate a spooky playlist, and letâs celebrate Halloween all month long.
Iâll report back to let you know how it wentâŚ
